Sickness/Friends

Well I've been sick the last couple of days with strep throat. I hate when I get this as it really knocks me down. But wanted to say how very blessed I am to have friends like, Prissy, Amber, Allison and Freddie who were brave enough to bring me things to eat and Allison the bravest of them all - to drive me to the doctor. Please pray that none of these very caring friends get sick from me. They are truly great people.

Had a fast trip to the Texas Motor Speedway for the races this weekend. My man - Matt Kenseth won the race so it was great for me. Got home yesterday evening and I have to admit I am draggin today but I'll get thru this Monday one way or another.

Diaper Cake

Freddie and Prissy to the rescue.

Freddie and Prissy have once again saved me from failure. I decided to do this diaper cake for a shower gift for my friend Amber after seeing the ones that Jessica Ortiz does. As usual, I bit off more than I could get done in the time frame I needed it to be done.

So with much love and appreciation I thank Freddie and Prissy for their friendship and willingness to help a friend out. Prissy without your help this could not have gotten done.

I think the diaper cake turned out awesome. Hope the mother-to-be thinks so too.

Thanks Jessica also for sharing your diaper cakes and this will be the one and only one I do. I will leave them up to you from now on.

Monday's

So it's Monday, another week of work then off to the NASCAR races this weekend. I am truly blessed with a wonderful job that offers me many perks. This weekend's trip to the races is one of them. I'm going with 9 of my fellow co-workers. I can hardly wait. NASCAR is one of the few sports that I truly enjoy.

So tonight two of my besties needed blog lessons so we sat down and got to work. This has hopefully inspired me to blog more often. I will be working on updating my play list of music and hopefully will have other things to post. Am working on a diaper cake for a shower gift and with the help of Prissy just may get it done. As soon as I do I will post a picture of it. Until then....
